Depending on the market value, some key players will not find themselves in the starting XI. Bayern Munich star players Manuel Neuer (market value: €10.73 million), Thomas Muller (€30.38 million) and Serge Nebery (€59.81 million) have no nose for their regular positions in terms of market value.

DFB striker Neuer is third among all German goalkeepers, behind Alexander Nübel (€17.3 million). While star players such as Timo Werner (€62.54m) and Ilkay Gündogan (€24.1m) are still missing, there are big surprises in central defence: Leverkusen top players Nico Schlotterbeck (€30.32m) and Niklas Süle (€31.83m, both BVB).
Overall, Germany’s current most valuable eleven (including injured or sick players) – formed in a 4-2-3-1 system – have a total market value of 655 million euros.
